PANZ Newell Award 2019

The PANZ Newell Award is awarded by the Population Association of New Zealand for the best poster on a population topic relating to the 2019 NZ Population Conference theme: Population change in Aotearoa New Zealand: people, places and well-being.

The competition is open to all current honours-level and above tertiary students in New Zealand. The selected poster finalists will have the opportunity to present their poster during the 2019 New Zealand Population Conference.

The 2019 Newell Award will be presented to the winner during the Conference, to be held 20-21 June 2019 at Te Papa, Wellington.

The winner will receive:

    • $500 from PANZ
    • conference travel and registration courtesy of PANZ
    • two year’s free membership to the Association

There is also a people’s choice award with a chance to win $250 cash prize for the most popular poster presented during the conference, as voted by conference delegates.
